Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to browse Togo & Stark and order a portrait, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.
Where we are
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We are not fully there yet, and we would rather say so than claim otherwise.
Known gaps we are working on:
- Some secondary text, such as small captions and hint text, does not yet meet the AA contrast ratio against our background colour.
- Parts of the site are built on a third-party theme and third-party apps whose accessibility we do not fully control.
What already works
- The site can be navigated by keyboard, including the menus.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
- Interactive controls are labelled for screen readers.
- Layouts reflow to zoom and to small screens without loss of content.
Ordering a portrait another way
Building a portrait involves uploading a photo and choosing options on screen. If that process is difficult or impossible for you for any reason, contact us and we will take your order and your photo directly, by email, and walk you through the choices. There is no difference in price and no difference in the result.
Telling us about a problem
If you hit a barrier on this site, please tell us. It is the fastest way for us to fix it. Include the page you were on and what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using if you know it.
Contact us, or email support@togoandstark.com directly. Someone reporting a barrier on this site should never be forced through a web form to do it.
